Tolu founded ZingerPay Intelligent Automation driven by three foundational pillars:
Pillar #1: Painstaking Planning and Execution Delivers Uncommon Results
The seeds for Zingerpay were sown about 10 years ago when Tolu was promoted to the position of Senior Finance Director and Global Process Owner for Record To Report at AbbVie, a $20 Billion Global Pharmaceutical Company.
At that time AbbVie had been spun off of Abbott and had two years to get off Abbott’s Systems and Accounting Support.
Tolu had the responsibilities to design and implement New Global Processes for Accounting, Tax and Treasury in over 80 countries within two years.
In addition to this, he was also to lead the Global Implementation of SAP Financials to support this new Target Operating Model also within two years.
Tolu delivered on this goals in an exemplary manner guided by meticulous planning and disciplined execution.
He operationalized the new Target Operating Model by establishing Accounting Shared Services Centers in Krakow Poland, San Jose Costa Rica, Dalian China, Chicago and Singapore for Operational Delivery.
The learnings from the remarkable execution of this goal cemented the potential of outstanding possibilities with disciplined program management in Tolu's mind.
Tolu was guided through this experience by the following quote from Leonard Bernstein.

# 2) Solid Process Design with Embedded Technology Controls Delivers Consistent Quality Outcomes.
Tolu's success in his role as the Global Process Owner and Senior Finance Director at AbbVie led to his promotion to the role of Area Financial Services Director for Latin America and Canada to remediate the region's Financial Reporting Process which was chaotic at that time and characterized by Audit Recommendations.
In this role, Tolu was responsible for Close The Book Functions for 18 Countries across Latin America including Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, Chile and Colombia.
Tolu addressed this problem by:
- Implementing highly prescriptive User Guides and Work Instructions
- Investing time and effort in capacity building and resource upskilling
- Ensuring Performance Management Rigor
Through these initiatives, he was able to reverse years of negative trends and instill a culture of Continuous Improvement.
Thus emerged the second foundational pillar of Zingerpay. "With the proper training and job aids you can unlock amazing human capital capabilities while simultaneously achieving a highly regimented control environment through technology enabled capabilities".
# 3) Africa Offers Superior Returns for those who understand the Environmental Dynamics.
Tolu served on the Board of Directors of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria USA District Society for several years and he was the Chairman of the Society's Professional and Technical Committee.
In these role he frequently presented professional papers at the Society’s Annual International Accountants Conference. The International Conference is held annually in the USA with over 120 Senior Accounting leaders attending from Nigeria.
During these conference I am usually challenged by these leaders to give back to Nigeria by availing them of my knowledge and experience.
These very indepth conversations often revealed a yearning gap for local technology solution embedded with best in class processes and controls at an affordable price.
Thus emerged the third and final foundational pillar of Zingerpay. "A Desire to give back to Nigeria in particular and Africa in general".
